Dear Friends,

Please allow us to introduce The Franciscan Center Program to you. It is our Mission to assist young men in learning how to live a productive life. We have over 30 years of quality service to runaway homeless youth and youth in conflict. We are here to offer help to Adolescent Males ages 16 thru 20. There are no fees for any of our services. We are certified by NYS Office of Children & Family Services, Classified as not-for profit 501c3 and monitored by Erie County Youth Bureau. We are available to male youth no matter their race, creed, color, or socio-economic background. We address the youth’s needs in “body, mind, and spirit.” This is a Voluntary, non violent Program, which provides free food, housing and Staff supervision 24 hours a day.

Our Transitional Independent Living Program can accommodate eight young men. Time frame can be up to 18 months or less. We provide a home-like setting; Case Management, in-house adult mentoring, extensive Independent Living Skills and Life Steps lessons. Our approach is to teach young man the basic “tools” needed to have one’s life move forward in a productive and mature manner. These lessons will put him on the path to successfully achieve one’s independence. Each young man works jointly with TFC Case Manager to develop an Individual Service Plan with short and long-term goals.

FOR YOUTH AGES 16 AND 17, PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST CALL AND SCHEDULE AN INTAKE ASSESSMENT MEETING. Both parent/Guardian and young man need to attend the Intake Assessment meeting. Both Parent/Guardian and youth must agree to a Voluntary stay in The Franciscan Center Program. Appropriate Identification is needed: NYS Photo ID, Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card. Call weekdays 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. to set up an appointment. YOUTH 18 THRU 20, SIMPLY NEED TO CALL THEMSELF TO SET UP AN INTAKE ASSESSMENT MEETING. Some form of identification is required.

We are obligated to assure the safety for both Residents and Staff in our home like setting therefore, the Intake Assessment process helps us to determine appropriate Intakes. Our OCFS Certification has identified areas that we cannot serve as they require an intense level of care beyond our service.

If you need further information or have questions, please call Maureen Armstrong Monday – Friday 9am-3pm. We are a family-friendly agency and here to serve our Community.
